It’s true this time round…

In fact, the show has been in cinemas for the past week now, so the screening is a fact. But its exposure is not wide. In GV, the show is only available on 3 screens, and the more ulu screens. The main push was by Cathay and then Eng Wah, partly cos Cathay, as a HK company, supports ‘national’ products ba…

The review was definitely mixed; I-weekly condemned it to the max, while many HK magazines praised it for its lightness. There was one common thing, though: The pace was too awkward.

For I-weekly, I was almost ready to accept its bad review (I had not watched the show), but after reading its equally condemning review on Red Cliff 2, I decided that the reviewers were just pompous pricks trying to give an image of ‘class and knowledge’.

She condemned a scene where Sun Shang Xiang stripped naked in front of all her male generals. She asserted that it’s absurd cos in that era, such acts would not be condoned, REASON being, women are ‘lower class’. I think the reviewer has been too brainwashed by Western Culture.

It is a fact that women are deemed inferior in ancient China, but most of the people were not as learned than now. Most guys would place sex before anything else (except perhaps food), explicitly and they would abandon all Confucius teachings (which was nationalized, but still in its infancy in terms of adoption) when presented with a naked women. This made me believe that the only absurd thing about the scene was how liberal SSX was. But come to think of it, don’t ancient people like to bathe openly in rivers? hmmmm…

Another criticism was that Zhou Yu only bothered to ask how his wife was after breaking into Cao Cao’s camp. The reviewer thought his mind should be on the war itself. But frankly speaking, few people in war would think about how the war turned out, and would instead be concerned about more humane stuff, like the well-being of their closed ones (family, buddies). Not to mention that Zhou Yu himself was also a sentimental man himself, as expressed openly in the 1st ep. And then, logically, his attack would have been considered ‘Good’ if he managed to break into opposition’s camp and meet up with his wife. If he wanted to discuss how good his attack went out, he would have asked people like Zhuge Liang than his wife, right?

Basically, my reading of the I-weekly reviews made me conclude that the reviewers were just jumping to conclusion, and in a typical sg-ean way, condemns everything that they could not put their finger on, or things that do not fit their stereotyping of the world. It extends from my observation during teaching and reading online local articles that sg-eans like to criticize things that falls out of the area that they don’t know, rather than the scientific way of criticizing based on what they know.

Back to the show, it fared well in HK (only), becoming the No 1 show on 1 Jan 2009 (its opening). It actually beat 梅兰芳 by 250%. I guess this phenomena is unique to territory. In China, 梅兰芳actually did better than LCPC, which I think is due to the fact that the former was… well a cheena topic they are familiar with. Overall, it was rumoured that LCPC had accumulated takings of more than HK10million in 6 days, which made it fare as well as 孤男寡女, which in its time overturned the bleak impression of HK movies. But of cos, since then, HK movies picked up momentum again (with sammi’s subsequent movies faring even better), which will make th.

Anyways, that does not mean I myself will watch LCPC lah. haha… If I am not wrong, of all the movies sammi starred in, I only watched 百分百感觉，孤男寡女，夏日的麽麽茶 and 长恨歌 in cinemas. I watched the rest on VCDs. haha… Initially, I did not watch much cos I was a penniless student, then it was due to the fact that only 1 person in my social circle liked sammi and even that, he was not interested to spend so much money to watch her shows.

Well well… I just want people to know the existence of this show, that it can be watchable (do not believe everything you read from local mainstream publications). Perhaps when it gets released on DVDs, we can watch it together in CNY gatherings

如果一年前的 Show Mi 是被形容为 “状态大勇”，那这一次的 Show Mi Again 应该是 ” 更上一层楼“，更或者是 ”冲破云霄“！

演唱会既是 Show Mi 的 ‘续集’，当然 rundown 和去年的秀有许多相同的地方； 除了开场的 sequence （《唯独你是不可取替》 至 《默契》 四首歌）和众所期待的劲歌热舞 （《星[秀]传说》 开场的 Medley），其他的歌都有所不同 （若要看得很细，有些歌只是换了次序）。

音响的问题在一开场就展露无限。好好的一个天后竟然听起来像米老鼠在唱歌，到底为何要把音响搞成这样呢？但要不是音响的问题，我大概也不会听出 Mi 的唱工大进 （又或者说是 ‘恢复’） 的蹊跷。我看的第一场 Mi 的演唱是 Sammi vs Sammi，当时她已经倦态尽露，声线让人感到非常失望。要不是因为那是我听她的第一场演唱会，相信我早就立刻封杀她了。

去年复出后的 Mi，显然休息太多，声线有些生疏，甚至有很 strain 的感觉，似乎声音 ‘开不了’。当时弥补这段过失的就是两段劲歌热舞，让人知道即使 Mi 的声音没有恢复，至少她的 stamina 回来了。尤其当一众歌手都无法像她一样载歌载舞，相形见绌的时候，声音？是用来评论新人的指标。

但是上个周末的演唱会，很显然的，天后正式归位了。劲歌热舞依然火爆，但悠扬的歌声是锦上添花。唱歌的不是资深歌手，而是 ‘天后’。

唱完开场歌之后，现场的情绪平复，方可让献唱经典慢歌 《放不低》 的 Mi 大现歌艺。尾音抖得魂魄都被牵引到九霄云外； 拿捏恰当的哽咽直逼心房； 随意却精准的 ‘滑音’ 带领各个米饭徜徉在共同一个 Mi 空间。论歌声而言，这是我听过三次演唱会中最崔我泪落的一次。

开场环节后就是电影主题曲大放送。从 《感情线上》、《浪花一朵朵》 到 《长恨歌》，每一首都鲜少在演唱会上唱过，却又是大家所熟悉、喜欢的歌曲。

原本还不知道这整个都是新的环节，所以当轻松写意的 《浪花》 过去又是一波接一波的好歌 （我不太听得懂广东话，所以就只有在歌曲过门一下才知道演唱的歌）。《如果你有事》 和 《回来我身边》 （两首主题一致的歌曲） 延续了开场时的优美歌声，但 《长恨歌》 才是另一段 （亦或是说更高） 的高潮。

当年因为 《长恨歌》 的 ’失败‘ 以及没有出专辑的情况下，我也没有多听这首歌。听的时候也感觉到 Mi 背后的一种莫名的压力。这晚她说： 她非得唱这一首歌，因为它代表了人生的一个阶段，是跨过心理障碍的一个环节；哪里跌倒就哪里爬起来。我敢说，Mi 没有爬起来，反而是 ’Matrix’ 起来了。

《长恨歌》 里的无奈，也只有天后才能在当下挥霍而尽。配上刚刚展露的 ‘滑音’，听歌的人无不被带入感情的过山车。尤其在副歌时，‘嗒~嗒嗒~嗒嗒’ 的旋律，稍停、前进的推动力，让原本徜徉在澎湃情绪中的米饭有如在亲身推动划桨，挣扎着征服现实的惊涛骇浪。

有谁料到在云顶也能 ‘下海’ 呢？

最令人感到意外的无非是 Mi 当场演唱新电影《大搜查》的主题曲《捉迷藏》，现场还有特别剪辑的电影片断！片断应该不是 MV 萃取，因为在 Mi 下去换衣的时候，片断仍然随着伴奏进行着，‘应酬’ 台下等候的米饭们。:)

热舞部分总算把束缚所有米饭的枷锁给解开。之前在较有动感的歌曲中 （开场、《浪花》），站起来舞动的米饭都被保安人员加以社会的束缚给抑制了下来。甚至在 《星[秀]传说》 时，三两个站起来的米饭也都屈服于无理的压制。总算 High 翻天的 Mi 对观众大喊 “STAND UP！STAND UP！”，所有米饭应声跃起，众志成城，那几个保安人员算什么？

天后一声令下，不识相的人，格杀勿论！

最后一个环节，唱完 Show Mi 的 Encore 歌之后 （我一度还以为演唱会将就此结束！），Mi 开始演唱一连串别人的歌。她声称这些都是她曾经和原唱一起唱过的歌，这是第一次独唱，意义非凡。没想到话一落下，我非常喜欢，唯一一首不是 Mi 唱的广东歌 《少女的祈祷》 前奏骤然响起。因为这是这场演唱会的特点，所以我录了一段，却因为也想享受听歌的乐趣，所以只录了一半。怎知道 Mi 越唱越起劲，歌曲结尾的停顿更让现场秉住呼吸，鸦雀无声，所有激昂情绪只悬在三秒钟的宁静上。

《天黑黑》，Mi 经常唱，所以驾轻就熟。激情澎湃地结束后，竟然开始清唱 《花火》。到了这个时候，才发现 Mi 一直用停顿来营造气氛。就像刚才悬在半空的情绪一样，Mi 这次邀请各位米饭 ‘伴她飞’，忘记 ‘两脚降落何地’。带了大家徜徉感情大海后，现在我们腾空翱翔梦想境界。：)

接下来就是握手和米饭会面时间。挤不到前面的我，索性在我的位子等待这个最沉闷的环节过去。有些米饭上了几次台，近距离面对 Mi, 有些 (如我） 只能干瞪眼。

闭幕依贯以 《终身美丽》 为演唱会画上美丽的句点。怎么说，这首歌也是带领 Mi 创造事业最高峰的经典；没有一个喜欢 Mi 的人不懂得哼上几句。有一个不朽的主打歌，不知道是福还是悲？

Show Mi Again，是我至今看过的最好的演唱会。它集聚了好歌、好声音、好表演，不是其他二十一世纪后出现的 ’天王天后‘ 所能做到的。就算没有了红勘的绚丽舞台，或是让人看得眼花缭乱的舞台特技，Mi 依然驾轻就熟，散发独特的舞台魅力。当然，不熟悉她的歌，甚至不熟悉广东歌的人，是不会知道他们错过的是什么。

以下是当晚所录下的片断，之后随意剪辑。只可惜我没有录到《花火》结尾的片断。唉～！

这是我生平买的第二张CD专辑，也是我拥有 Sammi 的第一张CD专辑，就在中学三年的时候。当时的CD价钱对我来说还很贵，买了一张旧花掉一整个星期的零用钱。但是，我还是买了，而且还开始了我 ‘收购’ Sammi 旧专辑的热忱。

出身福建籍贯的我，当时一句广东话也不会说，所以买这张粤语专辑，我姐都在骂我太疯狂了。可是我一个晚上就练习唱了《理想对象》，隔天就唱给同样也喜欢Sammi的广东人的友人辉。

他很惊讶，因为当时我在专辑已出就立刻买了，所以他还没听过这首歌，也不知道我买了这张专辑。但他还是听我唱完整首歌，因为在这里，我们不可能在电视、收音机上听到粤语歌。

记得当时家里也买了第一台 VCD 播放机，是随姐姐买的 Hi-fi 音响系统而来的。Hi-fi 和电视机各摆客厅的一方，所以每当要播放随 《Feel So Good》 而赠送的 MV VCD 时，就得把 Hi-fi 扛到客厅中央和电视机汇合。劳师动众，只为了四分钟的 MV，所以接下来的几年里，观看 《理想对象》 MV 的次数也就那么几次而已。

至于CD，我几乎每次放学早回家的话 （当时喜欢在外溜达，所以一星期也只有一两次会在晚上8点之前回家），就会坐在 Hi-fi 的面前，播放 《Feel So Good》 的专辑，随同 CD 大唱。我不管别人怎么想，我只喜欢沉醉在 Sammi 的歌声中，和她一起唱出合玄，唱出每首歌的感情。

Sammi，就是那么靠近。

Long long time ago, sammi and Wallace co-acted in a TV drama show, called Qin En Qing Wei Liao. It was about a woman who went to jail and was separated from her 5 kids. So after she came out 18 years later, she went on a quest to find them all, only to find that they all led different lives.

hmmm… Sounds like some show that someone acted in like eons ago… I suppose then SBC was mimicking the same show ba…

Anyways, sammi and Wallace were siblings, with sammi being the 2nd child, and Wallace the 4th. sammi became a lawyer and Wallace was a intellectually disabled guy.

The thing I hate about the show was how the writers tried very hard to portray the mother as a very pitiful, hardworking, perservering and full-of-hope woman. But I guess viewers at that age were suckers for such stale characters ba.

haha… Whatever.

Had the sudden urge to make a wallpaper of sammi. After all, this site has to depend on original contents le ma.

My focus is on sammi, so… haha… only Mi’s name on it. ;P

Not really good in photoshop or wallpaper-making, but at least quite my style lol I liked the lens flare function, cos it’s cool and easy to create. Unlike other effects, which looked so-so hehe…

刚刚在都会台（Ch56）的 TVB 新闻看见Mi的访问，活动是她出席‘5.12关爱活动’的。。。活动。

说真的，我还是第一次在电视上看见Mi这种访问。以前家里穷，没有电缆电视，等到有的时候，我们订购的频道不转播香港新闻。当那些频道开始播香港新闻的时候Mi又休息。等她复出的时候我又住校一整年，连国营电视台都没机会看，更何况是电缆电视。

总算在今晚看见 Mi 了。:)

话说回来，Mi 解释自己为何在过去的一个礼拜没有出席任何赈灾活动，原因为自己刚好得处理一些家事，说到这里，似乎还有些哽咽，访问的记者还关心地拍了拍她的胳膊。

我有在猜是什么家事，但没凭没据，又不关我的事，也不会在这里八卦。

之前我还对姐说，我和 Mi 心心相系，她发福我也发福，她减肥我也减肥。啊。。。这最近的日子我们都有点浮肿。呵呵！

哦。。。

原谅我没有关注赈灾详情，因为我本身是个冷血动物。也因如此，我在看访问的时候，脑子里只闪过一个念头：

啊！Mi 还真的把我放在 ‘心上’ ！

我知道。。。大会是以我的名字取的，我也不好意思，就尽量低调一点。哈！但是我眼里只看见 Mi 把我贴在她胸前。。。我想我今晚睡觉都可以感觉到 Mi 的心跳。

这又是一段令人回味的过去。

当年我爱Sammi，所以老是把她挂在嘴边。《孤男寡女》一出，我就一直游说CC去看。当然啦，他们没有。

记得那年的7月，我们故意为翰设计了一个惊喜生日庆祝会。我们偷偷地到了他家楼下，假装找他出门来确定他是否在家。然后我们就跑到他的家外面，又打给他，又敲他的门。

好像有点无聊，但是一群人在他家外面出现，大声喊叫，就是很high，很爽。

那。。。 和《孤男寡女》有什么关联？

我们纳闷应该做些什么，于是我把我随身携带的《孤男寡女》 VCD 掏出来，逼着大家 ‘观赏’。虽然我之前已经看了N次，但是我依然吵着他们 ‘陪’ 我看。

哈哈。。。

少年的想法，还真奇怪。

他们也特别敷衍了我，大家围着电视看了1个半钟头。所幸电影本身也富娱乐性，不愧大家牺牲时间应酬我。

喜欢电影里刻画出现时生活中的梦幻；这不是忙碌都市里所有人所期盼的事吗？

在奔波劳累后，总希望忽然有一种奇幻的力量实现一些眼前的小事物。清理眼前的工作，心上人忽然出现，或者是在急需帮忙的时候出现一个守护天使拔刀相助。

说真的，平时听每个人都在那里 ‘I Love U’ 来 ‘U Love Me’ 的，还真的有点闷。幸好电影中没有这种老掉牙的戏码，只有Andy 在结尾时应验了Sammi 在电影开端时许下的心愿，对后者说：I Need You。

时代变了，人们的生活概念也变了。

两个相爱的人在一起，不单单只是一种感觉而已；毕竟在这个资讯联络发达的社会里，每一个转角都能遇到爱，能够爱上一个人根本都不是一件稀奇的事了。

但是两个人要真正能够长久地相处，就必须要填补他们彼此的生命。当一个人发现身边的人已经融入他的生命，让他无法释怀，无法在没有他的日子继续活下去；当他发现他需要的就只有一个人的时候，这就是现代人对 ’爱‘ 的定义，不是吗？

看完VCD 后，我们一同离开。好像是除去吃晚饭，具体的细节已经很模糊了。但是我们走在他家附近的 MRT 轨道下，过着仿佛全世界就只有我们的存在最重要的时刻。那时翰就对我说：其实我不喜欢吃XXX的炸鸡。

我当下感到十分不好意思，因为买那样食物当庆生礼是我的主意，我却在决定的当儿忘了这个他曾经对我透露的喜恶；我也明知道他不喜欢 Sammi 还在他家要求看 Sammi 的电影。似乎这个寿星公根本都没有得到他所喜欢的庆生方式。

这也是我替他庆生的唯一一次。竟然也是一个不堪回首的一段回忆。

也许我应该停止，因为我实在已经离题了。
